Truth has always been one of the fundamental quests of human endeavor. In this process Man has spent his loftiest and most driving intellectual, imaginative, spiritual and physical energies.
The Arts - and specifically in our case, Music - have provided Mankind with ideal "building materials" to implement this intimate human Need: so it has been in the past, and so it must be in the future. Pursuit demands a "vibrating Silence" followed by Action. This type of Silence thus nurtures a "living Truth". In Music, all happens within a Time-Spot of eternity. This unique and peculiar "lifetime" sparks off Emotion. Truth is E-motion! (movement of the Self).
The re-discovery and/or re-newal of the intimate Truth of a musical composition and its physical implementation is the main objective of our Summer Academy.
Together, along the journey, following a guiding-star, we may even hope to find our own renewed, individual, intimate Truth. |
Schedule:
The advanced piano master class will take place in accordance with the following schedules:
A - from 08/23/2010 to 08/29/2010
B –from 08/25/2010 to 08/29/2010
in Montefiore Conca – Rimini – Italy.
Group and individual lessons
During the period of the Master class, each regular A schedule student will receive a minimum of six individual lessons; each regular B schedule student will receive a minimum of four; every student may assist to the lessons of the other participants as well, and to the lessons of M.° Gregory Zhislin, during eight hours dayli.
Complementary activities
During the period of the master class regular students and observers will attend, free of charge, to the complementary workshops With Movement towards Sound by Giuliana Corni and With Silence towards Form by Delilah Gutman. The attendance to an established minimum number of these classes, is required to get the final certificate.
Spoken languages:
Italian and English.
Eligibility:
The piano master class is directed towards those pianists and chamber groups who - in view of exams, competitions and recitals, or for sheer curiosity- desire to investigate aspects of technique and to refine the interpretation of the repertoire submitted.
Participants and Observers:
The applicants may register either as regular students or as observers.
Performances:
Pianists will be selected to perform in one of the following events:
1 – Silenzio Musica Festival: free choice of the program. (from 08/25/2010 to 08/29/2010.)
2 - Silenzio Musica Recital: final concert of the course (08/29/2010)
Awards:
The D.G.M.A., Galleria Rosini and M.A.R.E. will award the best disciple of the masterclass with a work of art by a 20th century Master.
Recording:
The concerts held during the various events of Silenzio Musica 2010 will be recorded. |

The advanced violin and viola masterclass will take place from 08/25/2010 to 09/03/2010 in Montefiore Conca – Rimini – Italy.

Venues:
The master classes, the workshop and all complementary activities will be held at the Teatro Malatesta, the Salone degli Archi, the Canonica rooms, and the House of Culture in Montefiore Conca.
Practice rooms:
Individual practice time will be organized in the Sala degli Archi, Canonica room, and the House of Culture in Montefiore Conca.
Schedule
The schedule will be published on www.dgma.it and the registered applicants will be informed by e-mail.
Scholarships:
The D.G.M.A. Association is presently making an effort to provide a scholarship for selected participants.
The results of the effort will be communicated through the website www.dgma.it before August 15, 2010.
Attendance Certificate:
On completion of the courses, the registered participants will receive an attendance certificate.
Terms and registration fees:
1 –For the regular students of the piano, chamber music, violin and viola masterclasses there is a registration fee is of 100 Euro(one hundred Euro) and includes: the membership to the D.G.M.A. Association, the participation in the complementary activities of Giuliana Corni and Delilah Gutman, the selection for Silenzio Musica Festival and other eventual events as well.
2 –The workshops regular students and workshops observers will pay only the registration fee of 10 € (ten Euro)- the D.G.M.A annual membership.
3 - The application form must be compiled in every part, in block capitals and signed. A copy of the bank receipt of the payment for registration fee must be sent by August 5, 2010 (date as postmark) to:

Master class and workshop fees:
1 - Piano Master class :
a) A - from 08/23/2010 to 08/29/2010 2010, regular student € 280,00 ( two hundred and eighty Euro), for the whole duration of the course;
B –from 08/25/2010 to 08/29/2010, regular student € 200 (two hundred Euro) for the whole duration of the course;
b) Observers: € 180,00 (one hundred and eighty Euro)
c) Observers on day basis registration:€ 30,00 (thirty Euro)
2 – Violin and Viola Master class :
a) Regular student, € 280,00 ( two hundred and eighty Euro);
b) Observers: € 180,00 (one hundred and eighty Euro)
c) Observers on day basis registration:€ 30,00 (thirty Euro)
3 – The Workshops “From Movement to Sound” and “From Silence to Form”, one session:
a) regular students, 15 € (fifteen Euro);
b) Fee of 50 Euro on day basis which includes: the D.G.M.A. one year membership, the participation as regular student in the workshops and as observer in the masterclass .
4 - All fees must be paid before the start of the courses, at the D.G.M.A Secretary’s office for Silenzio Musica 2010, in Montefiore Conca .
5 - The registration fee will be reimbursed only in case of cancellation of the courses by the organizing committee and will be officially communicated by D.G.M.A.

The observance of the regulation:
1 - The participants of Silenzio Musica Summer Academy are personally responsible for any and all damages they may cause to public or private property, persons and for any injury or illness they may suffer during or outside the class and studying hours.
2 - The registration to Silenzio Musica Summer Academy includes the acceptance of this regulation. Any claim must refer to the text in Italian. Place of jurisdiction is Foro of Rimini - Italia.
Accommodations:
1 - Special agreements with the Monastery of the Cappuccini and the Santuario of Bonora, and with hotels, B&B, farms nearby, will be published on the website.
2 - The participants, upon their arrival in Montefiore Conca and for the period of the courses, may contact D.G.M.A. for any information.
Transportation:
There will be information published on the website.
Cession of rights:
By participating to Silenzio Musica Summer Academy the participants will cede the following rights, free of charges, to D.G.M.A.:
a) All rights free of charge for performances transmitted publicly within the context of the master class and Silenzio Musica Festival by television or radio or any other means, including broadcasts on the Internet, cable networks, satellite, terrestrial or other broadcasting, live or pre-recorded, in Italy and abroad.
b) the right to record, reproduce, and arrange for the reproduction of all performances within the context of the master class and the Festival on CDs, CD-ROM / CDI, DVD or any other existing or future medium. |
